Special Tax Stamp

The Department of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms requires all organizations that have alcohol related activities on premises (i.e. selling alcohol, using alcohol in laboratories) to obtain a special tax stamp each year. The stamp must be renewed by July of each year and the annual cost is $250. Each location where an alcohol related activity takes place must have a special tax stamp.

Renewing An Existing Tax Stamp

If your DLC currently has a tax stamp, it must be renewed by July of every year. In order to renew your tax stamp, submit the cost object that needs to be charged as well as authorization to charge that cost object to Anshu Tiku by June 1st.

Obtaining a Tax Stamp For The First Time

If your DLC does not have a tax stamp and the DLC has alcohol related activities on the premises, contact Anshu Tiku to determine if a tax stamp is necessary and if so, to complete the appropriate paperwork.
